Students will have the opportunity to work closely with each other and the instructor to master course material.

Additive Manufacturing Technology and Materials This course discusses the technical and commercial considerations of additive manufacturing processes, the materials used in each process, and the common steps of an additive manufacturing workflow.

Chrisdolyn Dawson. Recent technological and economic developments, emphasized by the urgent need for new energy sources, have led to increasing demands for materials, which have unusual engineering properties and applications. From both the technical and economic points of view, it is recognized that the controlling factor in these developments is frequently a materials problem. Partnerships with area businesses through capstone projects, internships and other outside-the-classroom learning experiences will help you identify potential career paths, make connections and uncover new interests.
