The error I mentioned just recently popped up, its not a user error. Something was changed during an update and the change makes the spell checker useless.
This is an error that needs to be fixed on the Microsoft side. Most experienced Word users are unfamiliar with the nuances of the Spelling Checker. That is the preeminent resource on it. You may be the exception and not need it. That could make a difference. A screen shot would suffice.

It defaults back to this even if I choose English Aus or anything else. Eng US is what I want, but I can't override that default which seems wrong, too.
